NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP

Hi friends here I scribbling about my 1st camp experience…..

Only 16 cadets represented Tamil Nadu in the National Integration Camp, proud to say among them 5 cadets are from Our Government College of Engineering, Salem. The camp was held in TRIPURA (AGARTALA). Actually it took 4 days to reach camp site, 3 days to reach Assam’s capital Gawahati by train and one day travel by bus from Gawahati to reach Camp site. The bus travel was awes one, so many soldiers were there on the top of the hills and a few of them came along with our cadets in gypsies' disguise for their security. Traveling to north-east part of India is a bit difficult.

We cadets left Salem on Jan 3, 2008 and reached the campsite on Jan 7, 2008. The next morning we attended Physical training Parade. The whole camp site was covered by fog at 6.30am. It was found to be difficult to fix them there; it was a splendid experience for our cadets.

Cadets from 23 states enrolled themselves in the camp. Then we started their interaction with others. Language is their main problem. There we were guided by two officers who belonged to Tamil Nadu. One was a medical officer from Kerala. So with this entire people the camp went smoothly, though the food and water were not up to the expected level.

Side by side the cultural programs were started. In National Integration Program our cadets explained about Culture, Religion, Language and also great personalities of our state. We got 3rd prize in that program from Lt. Col. Alok Mehra and also he appreciated about our cadets activities throughout the camp.

Our cadets participated in all events and bagged the prizes. These activities made our cadets realize about team work [TEAM-Together Everybody Achieve More]. They also came to know about the culture, costumes, personalities etc… of other states. The feeling of oneness was felt by our cadets in the Nation Integration camp.

We went on an outing to Agartala market, Bangladesh border, temples; we also met Tripura Governor in his house and also had discussion with him for a couple of hours. On 18th Jan 2008, we started from Tripura to return to Salem. We found it to be a little bit depressing when all cadets return to their home town due to their separation.

FRIENDS
"A life without friends is like a body without blood."
Nobody tries to anything from his/her friends. Friends are the most precious gift from God. In our life parents can identify some sorrows behind our smile and words behind our silence. But God knows parents can not come with us throughout the life. So only he created virtual parents as FRIENDS. Only a true friend can identify the above things about us. Whenever we go in a wrong path our dad will scold and makes us to realize our mistake, mom makes us to realize by showing love. But only a true friend will do the both things at a same time. Value the friendship and your true friends.
Even a dark path will be a brightful one when we are walking with our friends. A mock film becomes interesting and enjoyable one when it is seen with friends. Sleepless nights due to the chatting about anything and nothing are possible only by friends. A failure will also be a positive one when we get a few encouraging words from our friends.
When we meet our dear friends after a long time, though there are many things to be shared, the first thing will be shared is a tight hug with tear drops in eyes and smile in lips with a saying, ”I miss you so much da machi..”. I also enjoyed this sweet experience with my friends… JJJ
A true friendship doesn’t bother about gender, money, status in society etc., Many say “Friendship between a boy and a girl will become love later.” It’s a completely wrong statement. If it is so, that is not a true friendship. A boy and a girl can be true friends through out the life.
There is a question “Which is better? School life or College life?” This is like “Which is better? Right eye or left eye?” Both are very important. School friends are totally different from college friends.
There may be many quarrels and misunderstandings between friends. But only misunderstandings have the ability to make friends very closer. And never be silent for your friends’ mistakes. It’ll punish them more than a sword. Don’t hurt friends by keeping something in your mind and telling that later. You are their friends. You’ve all rights to tell their mistakes and correct them. Leave your egos to your friends and enjoy this short life with your friends.
When we’ll be separated we may shred tears. They are not just drops. Heart exposes its feelings and shred blood in the form of tear drops. I think this small passage made you to turn over your life pages by thinking of those precious gifts from God. Don’t miss them in your life.
Friends Forever....

Heart for Beats..,
Beats for FRIENDS…

HAUNTING MEMORIES

The title itself shows how I am enjoying my college life. I entered my college on 17.08.2006.I felt that it was a new environment which was completely different from my school life. In the early days, I didn't know the friends who will become my best and close friends in my life who would share everything with me.

Evergreen experiences were made by practicals like physics, chemistry and engineering practice lab. I would eagerly wait for Friday because I would leave the college and go home and hate Monday because I would have to return from home.

In the second year, we entered the department which was totally different from the first year. In my life the most unforgettable birthday happened in the second year, I received many birthday wishes at 12.00 am and celebrations started with cakes and gifts.

One college proverb says, ” If you miss hostel life, you miss something in your life".

No words to compare the hostel life. Now I eagerly wait for Mondays to see my friends.

In the third year, we undertook an industrial visit (IV) for three days (30.08.2008-01.09.2008).No one can forget those precious days. These evergreen sweet three days made haunting memories in everyone heart.

Yeah! The third year CSE geeks hoisted the flag and made a foot print in Ooty. Those three days we reached the extreme level of happiness and no words are there to express our happiness....

I thank God that he has given best and close friends to me. I promise that I will maintain my friendship until my life ends..........

I feel unhappy for I have only one year to finish my college life.

My lovable mother

"My mom is a never ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune."

I was born on 30'th April 1988. God gifted a gem to me as my mother. When I was born, I sensed how happy she felt by her gentle touch.

My dad's salary is very low. But, My mother makes me feel that I am the richest man. My home is not very big. But, I feel that it is a wonder through my mother's care and affection.

She is so silent. This is the major essence in her beauty.

When I was at school, I could remember that she used to take me to school, not only stuffed with food ,with care too..

From the age of 15, I have missed my mother's love by spending most of the time outside.I have not shown care abouy her. Now, I feel that I have made her happy only through getting good marks at school.
After I joined college, I came to know that I had not realised her care when I was with her. So, I would call her everyday to know how she was. Twice a month twice, I went to see her.

In feb 2007, Her health went very bad. I called her.She replied that she was ok and asked me not to come there. But, she is no more..

I finally realised that, I had commited a great mistake.Because, If I had gone on that time, I could have brought her back.

After I reached home, I found that my mother was in an ice box. I didn't know, what to do. But, I realised that My life went meaningless...My tears started dropping on the ice box.

I am still left out only with her memories. Mom, I pray god that I want to be your son in the next birth too and I wish that you live with me a long time.

Truly dedicated to My Mother...
V.Sankar

MY INSPIRATION

I am glad for this chance to highlight Mr.Gopal, my Chemistry Sir, who was my inspiration.

I was an aimless girl till the day I become his student. He was my motivator who lit the lamp of hope in my life. He removed my ignorance by lighting up a new path. He guided me to frame out my inner strength and exhibit my versatile talents.

I wrote my exams only with his blessings and a new pen from him.
I made him a celebrity in my family. My primary desire was to become a professor, an initiator and a motivator like him, and implement his deeds.

Inspite of not satisfying his expectation, he urged me towards the pinnacle. I could reach my ambition, long term goal which I missed in S.S.L.C, in my higher secondary.
But I was unable to share my ecstatic moments with him as he was settled with a Govt. job in some other school.

He is responsible for my career in this privileged institution. I assure him that I will definitely bring out his name and fame.

Still the vibrations of your inspiring talks, helping nature remain in my mind, Sir.

HATS OFF TO YOU, SIR!!

MY LOVABLE FRIEND

I still remember the day I met her. She finished her E.S.L.C in her hometown. Then, she entered my school to continue her 9th standard here.

One day in a combined class, I met her. At that time, there was a need to learn an essay within that hour. But I had no one to study along with me. That’s the time I felt the meaning of friendship in my life. She entered my life to replace all my loneliness. That was the first time I talked to her but I felt as if she had been my close friend for more than 3 years. She was the FIRST FLOWER in my garden of FRIENDSHIP.

We gradually became very close to each other. I could see eyes which always lend love, a voice which never says no, hands which are ready to serve forever and a heart which always cares for me. She changed herself according to my likes and dislikes. She continued her studies in 11th std with me inspite of her father’s strict decision to make her study in a polytechnic college.

She guided me in my life and helped me to learn many. Once I expressed my ignorance about the latest technological development - the cell phone. To make me aware, she brought her father’s mobile after convincing her father.

After schooling, we parted ways, and she went to take up Teacher Training and on her encouragement and compulsion I took up Engineering. But I still remember those wonderful days and pleasant memories which I shall never forget in my life.
